KILT makes the most of lockdown

Napier clothing brand KILT employs 25 locals at the Design Room in Napier and nearly 70 in the retail team over 17 boutiques nationwide. KILT product is made and designed right here in Napier.

KILT used the lockdown period wisely by upskilling and training their staff nationwide using digital technology, including weekly team meetings and training exercises round styling.

“One of the beauties of being based here is that KILT have been able to able to react quickly to local circumstances in lockdown. With locally held fabrics and the main manufacturing facility in Onekawa, we were able to continue production through Alert Level 3, ready for when trade resumed,” says National Sales Manager Tiffiney Scott.
