Supporting local

So many locals are doing awesome things in Napier to support each other. Show them your love and don’t forget to buy and support local!

The Team Napier brand and associated initiatives are our way of providing a vehicle to unify our community due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As part of our recovery planning, Napier City Council wanted to create a way to empower our community to continue being kind, celebrate your innovation and resilience while showcasing the many collaborations that have been born out of adversity.

The We Are Team Napier logo is two hearts linked to show kindness and support, a koru to connect with our Māori community and the gannet to link to Napier.

Kia kotahi tatau o Ahuriri nei is for all Napierites. Those who live here, work here or even those that just plain love Napier. The mark can be used by anyone to show their connection and pride in Napier.

That’s up to you! It’s available to anyone to use how they see fit. Schools could use it on their newsletters, businesses can use it on their marketing, shops can put a “We are Team Napier “ sticker in their window, you can wear it on a tee-shirt or a badge, post or hashtag it on your social media, use it alongside your event promotion.

Basically, if you’re printing or posting something, there is a way for you to use it. It’s free to download (link) and if you have a cool idea of how to use it that you want some help with then you can contact us (link) and we can see how we might be able to make that happen.

This belongs to our community. You, me, we. You don’t need to get council permission to use it because it’s yours. Just download the toolkit and start using it.

Our community spirit and commitment to looking out for each other was really highlighted during lockdown and the Covid-19 Alert Levels. It might seem like a little thing, but having something visual that binds us all together sends the message that we care for each other. We’re all in this together and together, our community will be stronger and more connected.
