CANtopia Children's Activity

CANtopia Children's Activity

What does your perfect place look like?!

Something weird and wonderful? A spaceship landing in new territory surrounded by aliens, a dinosaur in an ancient forest, a train steaming up and over a rainbow, or an underwater castle? Create your imaginative utopia!

Kids - bring a bucket load of imagination along to CAN and create! There are prizes for the best CANtopia creation, and runners-up too!

For just $5 koha (suggested donation) you can plunge into the piles of making materials and glue, and dream up your very own diorama. Grab one of the shoe boxes we have collected and create your miniature scene inside using fabric, glitter, recycled cardboard, beads, wire in fact anything from the stocks of goodies we will have waiting for you.

You can record the story about your scene in the special CAN book, and leave your masterpiece on display for all to see. We would love the pile to grow and grow on the CANtopia Table!

CANtopia finishes on 22 January and all creations can be picked up in the last week. There will be an award given for 'Most Imaginative' entry. Judging of the CANtopia creations will take place on 22 January and winners will be announced on the CAN Facebook page.

All children must be accompanied by an adult. Hot glue guns will be available on request, issued to adults and over 14's only.
